Our game aims to portray the multiple stages of culture shock through the style of an arcade Shoot 'Em Up!

We want to personify and give the stages of culture shock a sense of being in order to strengthen the overcoming of these stages for the player. We also want to achieve this in a ethical manner, not to send a message of violence across, as well as create a science-fiction setting to exaggerate the events of the story to achieve a sense of enjoyment while still educating the player on the journey one goes through in terms of experiencing culture shock.

Controls

Navigating the Menu;

• Arrow Keys, Up and Down to select options
• Spacebar to select mode

Controls on Game Over/Continue screen;

WASD, W and S to navigate, and E to select.

Playing the Game;

• WASD to move player character and dodge projectiles
• Spacebar to shoot projectiles!
